Utility Dress

This University project was to make a 1940s costume.
After researching this period I was drawn to the start of the decade and the rashioning of clothing in the Second World War. In particular the Utility Clothing Act of 1941.
Design & Construction
I screen printed my fabric with a pattern that was inspired by the logo of the Utility Clothing Act.
